On Monday night, May 13th, the Black and Gold Banquet was held at Alta Vista Country Club. This annual event merges two wonderful traditions -- the Athlete of Character awards for each sport and the induction into the EDHS Athletics Wall of Fame. The Athlete of Character Award is named after longtime coach, Terry Conley, who passed away in 2009 after 35 years of coaching at EDHS. You can see the list of award winners attached and a large group photo.
Our Wall of Fame inductees for 2024 are:
Kendall Benson, Class of 1997, Water Polo and Swim (It was great to see Michael Ashe back and introducing the inductee)
Todd Rogers, Class of 1982, Baseball and service to the community (Former AD Steve Gullotti was back and introduced Mr. Rogers)
Kristi Durant Solarzano -- Class of 2002, Softball (unable to attend in person, but shared a nice video message)
