EDHS Parents/Guardians,
We hope this letter finds you well. As the end of the school year approaches, we want to remind you about the upcoming California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) for 11th grade students. The original communication regarding the CAASPP was sent out earlier this year to 11th grade families, but it can also be found below for your reference.
As a reminder, the CAASPP is a state-mandated assessment that measures students' proficiency in English Language Arts/Literacy and Mathematics. These assessments provide valuable information about your child's academic progress and help us make informed decisions to support their learning.
CAASPP testing for 11th grade students will begin on May 20th, 2024. The testing schedule can be found below and it will impact the entire school schedule. Students testing in Math may be required to go to a different classroom for testing. Information regarding testing locations will be provided to students the week prior to testing.
To ensure a smooth testing experience, we kindly ask for your support in the following ways:
- Remember that all 11th graders are schedule to take the test in Math, Science and Language Arts.
- Encourage your child to get plenty of rest and eat a healthy breakfast on the days of the assessments.
- Remind your child to arrive at school on time and bring any necessary materials, especially a charged Chromebook.
- Emphasize the importance of taking the tests seriously and doing their best.
Please note that the CAASPP results will be used to assess our school's performance and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, these scores may also be used for course placement purposes.
If you have any questions or concerns about the CAASPP assessments, please do not hesitate to contact us at 714-986-7580. We appreciate your partnership in supporting your child's academic success.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Joey Davis
